Help for Elder Boomers

September 19, 2008 · Leave a Comment

A golden retirement awaits legions of baby boomers. It’s time for some well-earned fun and games. Visit the grandkids, toss a few frisbees, revamp those stamp collections. Exotic locales from Florida to Costa Rica beckon with sandy beaches, trailer parks and bingo parlors.

Social Security and Medicare will ease the financial burden. But aging bodies will never be young. Though spirits are willing, tissues are not. Kidneys give out. Hearts atrophy. Livers become clogged. Time will always tell.

Medical science shows promise with stem cell research. But what of the near term? The replacement of organs, made possible by the wonders of surgery, has been hampered due to a recent shortfall of willing donors. There is no joy in paradise being tethered to a kidney dialysis machine.

Fortunately, help is at hand. Intrepid organizations such as American Harvester Association, Organs Await, and New Life Transplants have forged new markets in the developing world. Elder boomers and desperate poor can now participate in the exciting new supply meets demand redistribution of wealth paradigm.

Free trade is fair trade. The Human Organ Transaction Board lists the latest quotes for kidneys, hearts and livers. Same day air service guarantees delivery within 24 hours.

The Lord’s Work

September 12, 2008 · Leave a Comment

“I will blot out from the earth the human beings I have created – people together with animals and creeping things and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” (Gen. 6:5-8)

The Ebola Virus was a decent start. It was an efficient killer with a mortality rate of 90%. But it was too quick. The host usually died off within two weeks, too soon for a good population spread.

Doctor Karlo had been on the project for five years. Tweaking and honing the virus. Implanting various nucleotides into the RNA. Stripping others away. Trying to delay the incubation period and kill time from onset of infection.

The Lord was fed up with the wickedness of humanity. Of the degraded pop culture of pornography, rock music, civil rights and homosexuality. It was time for another Noah’s flood, another watery cleansing of the planet of filth.

God’s wrath could’ve been a firestorm of nuclear missiles. But they were too dirty, too obvious, and too sweeping. Once the radiation had receded, survivors would be searching for answers amidst the rubble.

Latest lab results were showing promise. The chimpanzee subjects had lived six months before finally succumbing. Doctor Karlo smiled with his newest creation. The biological agent was being perfected.

The dead chimps were sent to the incinerator. Testing on humans would begin within the week.
