Is Jessica Simpson the Deadly Angel?

January 10, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Jessica Simpson, American pop star and movie actress, has recently been the subject of a torrent of vicious rumors. Seems the brouhaha began after she’d taken a hankering to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

It was just harmless fun at first. All that romance and kissy-kissy stuff. Especially with two ultra-fab celebs providing grist for the ever greedy public mill. Super hunk and hot babe out there for all to see.

But things took an ugly turn when the Cowboys lost a game to the Philadelphia Eagles with Jessica as the quarterback’s squeeze. And after the Cowboys were eliminated by the New York Giants in the divisional playoffs, the excrement hit the rotating blades.

Fans, sports writers, television commentators and even fellow teammates were quick to pronounce judgment. Thousands of blogs lit up the internet like a Christmas tree while babble at water coolers increased to crescendos of ridiculousness.

It was the Jessica Simpson Curse!

The All-American boy had been throw off his game by the beauteous blonde bombshell. That had to have been it. Of course, it had nothing to do with the performance of the Cowboys, nor with the fact that the Giants went on to win the Super Bowl.

Ah, the triumphs and scandals of celebrity. What would the public do without them? Pundits make a living and stiffs find a life with private moments of beautiful people.
